About Lagos TUC

Driving Change for Lagos Workers

Lagos TUC leads and supports campaigns that protect workers’ rights, improve working conditions and promote social and economic justice in Lagos State. We work with government, employers, unions and the public to drive real, practical change for workers.

What We Focus On

Our campaigns and advocacy focus on:

  • Fair Pay & Decent Work – Living wages, timely salaries, and better working conditions.
  • Safety & Health at Work – Safe workplaces and enforcement of safety standards.
  • Job Security & Social Protection – Protection from unfair dismissal and improved benefits.
  • Respect for Labour Rights – Freedom of association and collective bargaining.
  • Inclusive & Sustainable Policies – Engagement on labour and economic policies.

How We Carry Out Campaigns & Advocacy

Lagos TUC carries out its campaigns and advocacy through:

  • Dialogue and negotiation with government and employers
  • Policy inputs and position papers on key labour and economic issues
  • Public statements, press conferences and media engagement
  • Peaceful actions, sensitisation and awareness campaigns
  • Partnerships and coalitions with civil society and other labour bodies
